The world was complete in 7 days and nights…we united on the 7th day of February 2004. Since the birth stage of our relationship we have become best of friends, shared, grown, learned, taught, cried, respected, cherished and loved each other. As time progressed, we have matured, become wise, and became one with one another leading to genuine love.

Leon and I met through a mutual friend (Barbara) in December of 2003 during Christmas. It was a brief passing of hello, as I was not well that day, new to California, and did not know anyone. As time passed we saw more of each other during Sunday gatherings at our friends home and sparks was in the air. Apparently one day when we all were leaving everyone went to say their goodbyes and hug each other. Well, I guess I must have gave the “hug” if you get me, per Leon and to him that said it all. After that time, the next Sunday we happen to see each other there was more conversation and then the exchange of numbers. Since then we have been inseparable and officially became one February 7, 2004.

Leon is my world. He completes me and I know I am in love when I see the world in his eyes. Love is unselfish, Understanding and kind, for it sees with its heart and not with its mind. This is exactly why I feel in love with Leon. He is sweet; he lit my life and makes me feel like a teenager again with butterflies in my stomach. Leon is smart, has a great head on his shoulders, has goals and aspirations, hard worker, sincere, thoughtful, my best friend and makes me laugh. Laughter is such a great high and when two couples can laugh and pray together, that only strengthens our bond. He is unique in so many ways that there is no other like him and that is what makes his personality. His smile brightens my day, his touch and when he holds me makes me feel secure. Our souls have connected and when we hold hands the interlock of our fingers are a perfect fit. He is and will always be the one love in my world.

When I first saw Michelle I thought she was a teenager, so I paid her no mind. But once I found out she was of age, the black British came out (laughing). She gave me the magic “Hug” and there was no turning back. We went on our first date, on February 7th 2004, where I took her to an art show, then a movie, then dinner. They say time fly’s by when you are having fun, and these last three years, feel like three seconds. We became close very quickly and understand each other.

Michelle is a strong individual, (well she has to be to be with me) who is liked by all. She knows what she wants in life, she is career driven just like me. Michelle is my first true love (sounds corny but it is true), a trustworthy woman. Michelle is the one for me and this wedding will symbolize the continuation of our life together.
It might have taken 7 days and nights for the world to be completed, but marriage is a life long commitment where two people become one through marriage. There is only one happiness in life, to love and to be loved.
